Strong-willed, impetuous Kitty and mild-mannered, fashionable Freddy hardly seem like a match made in heaven but when her Uncle Matthew decrees that she shall marry one of her four cousins Kitty coaxes Freddy into a mock engagement. Persuading him to take her to London, she hopes that jealousy will induce her handsome, dashing cousin Jack to propose. On being catapulted into the bewildering world of London high society, naive young Kitty soon finds herself questioning her previous judgment.
