I throughout Disruption would be a book I would just read and get over, I couldnt of been more wrong, Maggies story and world just drew me in form the first few pages and has kept me that captivated that I still remember every character and what they did in the book.

I walked past Disruption a few times, not really looking at it, when I did I brought it but still didnt read it till one day I was on the internet and watched the book world trailer for it, with in the hour I started reading and only stopped when there were no more pages.

In Maggies world M-Corp has been ruling all things tech, will all this tech rule life, M-Corps M-Chip was brought in 10 or so years before and made mandatory every man woman and child had to have one and anything you did or need was recorded and done through the M-Chip, 9 years before the book starts the M-Band which is a accessory to go with the M-chip was also made mandatory as well as 3 pheromone rating a month, if your over 18.

We meet Maggie and are instantly thrust into her world, two years go her Father register 3 negative rates and was shipped off to a neg farm, since that day Maggie has been fighting and black mailing her way to finding him. She is a total bad ass that puts her family before herself and doesnt care who she has to cross and manipulate to get what she wants. When we meet Maggie she is being helped by Gus, her trusty sidekick who you guessed it, she has been black mailing to work for her. In the first chapter her most resent contact has disappeared and she must find a new one, taking drastic measures she pulls Quentin Macer into her web as be is the youngest of the Macer sons and the Macer are M-Corp.

The relation ships between Gus, Maggie and Quentin are all believable, funny and just the way it should be. The in tire time I was rooting for Maggie even though she is presented as flawed unlikeable character there was no point that I turned against her, the same goes for Gus and Quentin, I feel as though we could all be life long friends, which lets face it they are form a book so we will be.

In all I feel Disruption is a fantastic read and I cannot wait for Corruption to be released later this year, The world is one that could come to be and the book has the right amount of Action, drama and romance never leaving we with the feeling it could of been done better any other way.

I highly recommend Disruption to anyway who loves a great action packed read with heart, I can guarantee you will love these character and this world.

I've been having the trashiest luck with books lately. DNFs and 1 stars left and right. But this brilliant, brilliant book totally swept me off my feet. I read this whenever I had the chance; in between classes, while on public transport and even during my Autumn Concert at school. If you haven't figured out already, I found Disruption to be insanely addicting.

Disruption is set in the future where all citizens must wear M-Bands. These M-Bands are designed to make everyone's life easier--they even help identify your perfect match by giving a rating of how well you will go together. However if you get more than 3 negative interactions a month, you will be taken away from society to be questioned and rehabilitated. Being rated negatively means that you'll do something terribly bad in the near future. In Jessica Shirvington's world, she calls them "Negs". Then enter Maggie Stevens, a girl whose father got taken away from her when he suddenly started getting negative interactions all the time. After a long period of planning, Maggie is now prepared to go and find her father. However the key to her success lies with Quentin Mercer--heir to the M-Corp Empire.

I absolutely loved Maggie. Her situation is really tough as she has a father who was taken away from her and a mother who is working night shifts to pay back the debts that Maggie's father left her with. Maggie's brother doesn't even want anything to do with them. For a tough situation, Maggie deals with it realistically. She's not huddled up in a corner sobbing or night, what she is determined to do, she will do to the best of her ability. She'll fall and trip and take wrong turns, but her determination and passion for her goals is what pulls through. That's not all. Maggie is also very witty and has the best comebacks, I find myself grinning ear to ear. I am already missing her.

Disruption also excels with the relationships. I loved the family dynamic, though it was not a strong focus. However the relationship between Gus and Maggie was. Gus is a bit like Maggie's helper. He helps her on her missions and finds contacts for information that can help Maggie achieve her goal to save her father. However, Gus only does it because Maggie blackmails him. Theirargumentsare always highly entertaining but it is clear to us readers that they have grown emotions--PLATONIC EMOTIONS--for each other and always have each other's backs no matter what they claim to say.

The romance is a pretty big focus in Disruption. While I could have done with less focus and less angst, it was sweet. It started off with a reluctant partership after Maggie manipulated Quentin's view and fooled him into believing that he was a Neg. Soon it grew into a very sweet and squeal-y romance that I adored.

A book brimming with gorgeous writing, a witty female lead, strong world building and fantastic relationships--platonic and romantic, I highly recommend people to read Disruption. While I'd say that I loved Between the Lives better, this one comes as a close second.

I didnt expect to get drawn into Maggie Stevens life as quickly as I did. I read the blurb and thought Disruption sounded like my kind of book but wasnt quite prepared to have found a book that I didnt want to put down.

Maggie Stevens is on a mission to save her father from Mercer Corporation (M-Corp). A company which has created the ultimate in smart phones, M-Bands a wrist attached device which works as smartphone, credit card, car keys and more. It even contains pheromone technology which scans others in the vicinity to find your suitable partners. Handy except when ratings turn up negative. Negs are people who fail to rate and research indicates negs are more likely to be criminals and other undesirables. M-Corp tells the public that negs go to farms but Maggie knows better. Shes searched high and low for her father wont stop until she finds him no matter who she has to use in the process.

Maggie is a fantastic character. Shes ruthless, resourceful and determined to find her dad. She is not above using blackmail or other less than honourable tactics to help in her quest. Shes smart and does whatever she can to make sure her intel of situations is accurate. I loved her. Her slightly shady moral code worked for her. She didnt judge others on their actions but if she could use their flaws to help with her mission she wouldnt hesitate. With a techno expert for backup and a rich boy with connections on her side, Maggie navigates the underworld of M-Corp in a relentless pursuit trying to find answers and her dad. (Fans of Emily Thorne from Revenge are definitely going to like Maggie Stevens!)

Gus and Quentin are great back up for Maggie. Gus is an electronic genius and his partnership with Maggie interesting. He backs her up and the dynamic is complicated but great and I loved the humour in their interactions. I loved how the relationship developed from the first time readers met Quentin right up till the end. Pacing it was handled beautifully and whilst I wasnt a huge fan of Quentin I could not fault how Shirvington grew their relationship and how it changed both Quentin and Maggie in a believable and realistic way. I dont know much about technical workings of things but I felt like the world created was well researched and liked how the information was delivered. There was never a case where it felt like too much was being dumped on the reader at any time but rather a nice steady pacing of M-Corps inner workings.

Disruption is a novel I couldnt put down. Its exciting and different with a lot of action, drama and the perfect amount of romance. Not everything is as it seems. The world Shirivington created is a little bit out there but eerily plausible as being possible in the real world. Disruption has been my favourite Jessica Shirvington novel Ive read so far and Im already excited for the release of the second book in this series, Corruption.
