Synopsis

Jose Cura is not only a celebrated opera singer, but a man of various great talents. The Argentinian tenor appears on all the major opera stages of the world: New York's Met, the Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden, the Staatsoper in Vienna. He is featured in many great parts of the tenor repertoire on countless CD and DVD-recordings, and he performs also regularly as a conductor and is working as a composer of sacred and secular music. For many years Jose Cura has also been a keen photographer, taking his camera with him on his travels around the world. Espontaneas - Photography by Jose Cura presents for the first time a selection of his pictures. The more than ninety images of people are about issues that are important to Cura: friendship, human dignity, poverty, old age, and loneliness. Together with texts by Cura and other authors from two millenniums they form a panorama full of associations and show us today's world seen with the eyes of the man Jose Cura.
