Maeve Binchy dazzles again with a new novel filled with warmth, wit, and unforgettable characters -- a powerful, moving tale of ordinary men and women whose quiet lives hide the most unexpected things.

Here, Aidan Dunne nearly gives up on his lifelong dream to go back to the Italy he visited as a youth, but his evening class -- Introduction to Italian -- unearths his long-buried hopes. The teacher is called Signora, and as she gets to know her students each Tuesday and Thursday night, she transforms their lives, bringing together stories of families and lovers, unrealized passions, and moments of truth and tragedy.
