Synopsis

This young adult novel is the story about a girl and a wild horse in the Wyoming wilderness. It begins with the birth of the palomino on the Red Desert and follows his life through many adventures, including capture, mistreatment by cowboys, his ultimate escape, and wanderings through Yellowstone Park where he encounters bears, wolves, bison and moose. Along the way he meets Heather Hudson, a young girl who plays a critical role in his destiny.
