In the film, I Know I'm Not Alone , Franti brings the audience into the war zones of Iraq, Palestine and Israel, in the company of Michael's guitar, eloquence and wit - you feel the humanity, artistic resilience and the horrific experience of what it's like to live under the bombs and military occupation. The filmmaker's intention was not only to capture these emotions on film but to record them in music and words, to make a film about people and the things they do to overcome the presence of the war: the power of friendship, humour, art and music.
