NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE

Greg Gaines is the last master of high school espionage, able to disappear at will into any social environment. He has only one friend, Earl, and together they spend their time making movies, their own incomprehensible versions of Coppola and Herzog cult classics.

Until Greg's mother forces him to rekindle his childhood friendship with Rachel.

Rachel has been diagnosed with leukemia - cue extreme adolescent awkwardness - but a parental mandate has been issued and must be obeyed. When Rachel stops treatment, Greg and Earl decide the thing to do is to make a film for her, which turns into the Worst Film Ever Made and becomes a turning point in each of their lives.

And all at once Greg must abandon invisibility and stand in the spotlight.

'A stonking read, wonderfully rude, filled with enough wit, verve and audacity to power at least twenty novels.' Phillip Gwynne, author of Deadly Unna? and Swerve

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews follows the extremely normal life of Greg, an average high school student, and his relationships with Earl (his best friend) and Rachel (the dying girl).

Now before you go running away from what sounds like an extremely Clich love story, DON'T. This book is anything but that. And I promise you, reading this book is worth it.

Utilising hilarious dialogue, awkward teenage situations and an amazing array of characters -- Andrews really has created one of the most realistic accounts of a teenage cancer story, without basing the entire novel around the words CANCER and DYING.

With a movie currently in development, now is the perfect time to pick up this book! Trust me, you won't regret it.

(Just a quick warning if you are buying this for you kids, don't. There is a lot of swearing and mature sexual references. I would recommend 15+ just to be safe)
