Gary Joe was born on March 8, 1979 at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. He is the oldest male of 8 children. Gary ran away at the age of 7 from Germantown's Queen Lane Project to North Philadelphia. His Step Father was a Drug Dealer that was shot dead within 15 feet from his residence and he never got to lay eyes on his first and only baby son-to-be. Gary's mother was almost murdered right before his very eyes. In spite of drugs, molestations, and homosexuality being in the midst of his family, Gary seemed to be shielded from it all. Gary went on and graduated from Central High School in Philadelphia. He then went on to receive his Bachelor's in Computer Information Science from Temple University in Philadelphia. The two things that kept Gary focused were his education and his spiritual life. Currently, Gary is the father of 3 amazing children. He's currently teaching at Impacting Your World Christian Center in Philadelphia, PA and Cherry Hill New Jersey. Gary's favorite quote to live by is "If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for? Not much." - Jim Rohn In his book entitled, My Shoes Don't Fit!, now on audio, Gary takes you through a journey of self discovery. Much like his life, he let's you know that you can either let someone else or circumstances dictate your destiny, or you can charter a path best suited for you. His "7 Practical Steps" are just that - practical steps to find purpose and acquire anything that you want.
