Great book for adults and teens - teachers - this would be an excellent book to study at school.

Loved it.

Couldn't put it down when I first got it - managed to dodge mum's requests and finish it in 3days.

His writing style is brilliant and it's no wonder this book is an international best seller.

There is a point about half-way in when you know it's going to be devastatingly sad, but it's impossible to put down. The Book Thief is a tender and tragic love story that can bring you to tears, even years later, just touching the book on the shelves of a bookstore.

This book can make you rush out to tell that person you were aching to kiss that you do love them, before you lose the chance. For me, I had trouble letting go of the scene of Leisel holding Rudy in the dust of Himmel Street - the simple description of teeth colliding during that kiss..

It's rare to find book that can touch you in this way, but anyone who knows love will have their heart broken again and again by this story.
