The Jackson 500: V. 2

Synopsis

With a fondness for mid-century graphic design, Japanese monsters, chaos and smoking dinosaurs, Tim Biskup has honed an infectious style. His surreal, dense, colorful paintings evoke Paul Klee, James Flora and Hieronymus Bosch, as well as animation pioneers like Ward Kimbal, Bob Clampett and Mary Blair. Biskup's career in animation led him to work on countless cartoons, including his own short for Nickelodeon, Freddy Seymore's Amazing Life. He's one of the most prolific artists working today, creating drawings, paintings, clothing, limited edition toys and prints. In September 2004, he opened Bispop Gallery in Pasadena, California, an exclusive venue for his creative output. He continues to show his original artwork, prints and sculptures in galleries worldwide.
