The ancient Kimberley region of NW Australia is on the 'bucket list' of many travellers. This new book by Victoria Laurie goes beyond the brief accounts presently available in numerous travel guides. It provides a very readable, informative and fascinating insight into the history, ecology, flora and fauna of this remote region. The text is well illustrated with arial photographs of the spectacular landscape and with close-up images of the unique wildlife and plants of the region. For those of you who are thinking of traveling to the Kimberley or have 'been there, done that' this book is a must read. The "Kimberley: Australia' Last Great Wilderness" provides a rare opportunity to embrace the wilderness from the comfort of your armchair.
