A disappointing end

I have loved Ayla and Earths Children since I was a teen. As a fan this book was a 'must read' but it was a let down for me. It won't be one of the books I am reading over and over, and to me didn't feel like a conclusion to the series.

I have waited a very long time for this book to come to fruition, since the 80's and boy, was I disappointed. All the other books to this series were great, unfortunately this book let the series down big time.
How on earth can the author say this is the ending of the series , there was NO conclusion that I read........... come on jean get your act together :(
