Oh my goodness. This book was just 328 pages of feels and tears. I can’t believe I hadn’t read this earlier, no wonder it’s so popular.
I was a bit worried about reading this one seeing that its content is… well… the rape and murder of a 14 year old girl. But I was so relieved to find out that that hardly came into it at all – one chapter or so at the beginning of the book. The rest was a BEAUTIFULLY woven story about the impact a tragedy can have on a family and the sheer power of love, in the many forms it comes in.
This book is one of my top five favourite books. Sad, funny and beautiful. Read it.
