This is an extremely funny book. I managed to get a pre-release copy and being unfamiliar with the blog, was initially sceptical after looking at the gaudy cover, but the scathing and witty commentary on a part of Australian society that usually gets ignored by comedians is a very fun read. The authors have pseudonyms as a wide range of famous Australian and international figures are successfully lampooned throughout the book.
Its well written and refreshingly unflinching in its cynical and satirical analysis of all things part of the evolving term bogan. While the book gives you the guilty pleasure of categorising and laughing at other peoples bogan traits, the fun also comes from recognising your own behaviour and the period of internal self denial that follows.
