Synopsis
Blonde, bubbly Sookie Stackhouse loves her job as a cocktail waitress in Merlotte's, in her home town of Bon Temps. Sookie's cute, but it took her a long time to make friends; perhaps that's not so surprising when you consider how few people appreciate her telepathic ability. Then the vamps came to town, and Sookie discovered she couldn't 'hear' them at all. Instead, she gets to make friends the old-fashioned way, first with Bill, tall, dark and handsome, then with Eric, the blond Viking, who's undeniably attractive, especially when he loses his memory. And when Sookie's cousin Hadley dies - for the second time - she comes to the attention of Sophie-Anne Leclerq, vampire queen of New Orleans, who is very interested in Sookie's unique talents. And let's not forget the were population, who come a little close to home when Sookie's brother Jason gets bitten by a were-panther . . . Whichever species you are, life is never boring in Bon Temps, Louisiana!

Firstly, Dead to the World would have to be my absolute faveourite so far in the Sookie Stackhouse series. The relationship that forms between Sookie and Eric is intense, it shows Eric with quite the softer side but still with that hint of evil that we have all come to love. But at the same time her brother Jason goes missing. This book is like the beginning of soo much more though-out the series and honestly I have read and re-read this book nearly 10 times within 2 years.
Dead as a Doornail: It was the first book I ever read in the series a few yrs ago and that was when I fell in love with this series. In this book, Sookie has alot to deal with, her brother 'the were-panther' turns for the first time and there is yet another murder in their 'quiet' country town. Eric is still trying to find out exactly what happened when he lost his memory, and will not stop asking Sookie for answers. He knows something 'deep' happened but not how 'deep'. It is up there in my evergrowing list of favourite reads.- LikeBe the first to like this review

Definitely Dead: Another road trip for Sookie as she gets word that her cousin Hadley, who turned Vampire has died 'the true death'. Sookie goes to her cousin's appartment and soon realises foul play. She becomes friends with a witch and soon things escalate to becoming more than just about her cousin. More were-wolves, ex-lovers and future lovers.... 9/10- LikeBe the first to like this review
