Warm Bodies

Synopsis

R is a zombie, but its not so bad, he's learning to live with it. True, he can only remember the first letter of his name, and eating is not a pleasant business. He spends his time in an abandoned airport, along with hundreds of other zombies, riding the escalators, standing round and groaning. Time moves slowly, the world has mostly ended, the cities are rotten and empty. But on one excursion to feed on the living - anyone not safely housed in the new fortified enclosures - R meets Julie. Unfortunately he meets her just after eating her boyfriend's brain, but for reasons he can't quite understand, he doesn't want to eat Julie, he wants to save her. Julie is a blast of colour; Julie's life-energy bubbles out and sparkles like champagne; she means more than flesh and blood. R finds himself falling in love, things start changing, and together R and Julie attempt to bring the whole decaying world back from the dead.
