(If you are interested in purchasing the Customized Back Cover, please contact 1st Books staff) Its a story about a black woman that has endured trials and tribulations growing up in the early seventies, and through out her lifetime. It is about a woman that survives against all odds, even when she thought she would die. The book is about how she remembers certain moments in her past that have caused her emotional pain and left scars, yet in some form these memories connect her to the present, and helps her grow, as well as heal. The book is about love, family and forgiveness. It tells you about the mistakes she made in her life and the regrets she has. It also tells you that you can be forgiven and still be happy. What she tries to do, is tell the reader that you should not run from you past, but learn from all the mistakes you make, and believe in your self no matter the cost. The book tells you that, no one is perfect, we all fall short at one time or another. We make mistakes, but we cant let those mistakes ruin what we work so hard to accomplish. The book tries to tell you that all scars will heal in time, and you should be true to yourself and always follow your dreams. Why all women should read this book is simple. It was written from the heart, and will make you cry and maybe even laugh. But you will want to read it again and again.
