Synopsis

Barbara Tuchman digs into Woodrow Wilson's decision to join the Allies in the first World War. We meet Kaiser Wilhelm, unable to decide if the Japanese are the Yellow Peril or the natural allies of Germany; Pancho Villa, who thought Wilson his amigo until the United States refused to support him in a revolution; & Wilson himself, in whom were matched those curious siblings, moral certitude & hidden rage
