A beautiful story of the intertwining fates of the 3 families in an era long gone, but not forgotten. Set in Sydney's northern suburbs in the early 20th Century, in a time of horse and cart and the genteel, the innocence of the Australian spirit is about to be tested. The winds of change bring two World Wars and the Great Depression. The ANZAC spirit of mateship is borne of the death and tragedy and somehow amidst all the turmoil, love and passion survive.
I so loved this book and all the characters stunningly portrayed, their romance, their innocence and tom foolery. I longed to be a part of the families on Gallipoli Street. Loved, loved, LOVED it! Thank you Mary-Anne for sharing your story with us
