In his book Ian Mackay writes of his vivid experiences in war and business and the feelings they generated. His first hand knowledge comes from commanding an Australian Infantry company of troops during periods of heavy fighting against a determined enemy in Vietnam and that section of the book alone will give a reader insight to a veteran's emotions in battle and his after-action traumas. Ian tells it as it is. I found it hard to put this book down once I started reading it. Strongly recommended.
