I've hesitated to review this book since I've only tried 1 recipe from it, but it keeps going on sale and i want to encourage people to buy it because I think it's a good recipe book, and good for starting on making your own sodas.
In terms of the physicality of the book, it's a sturdy hardback with matte covers, strong paper of medium thickness, easily readable fonts and letter sizes no smaller than 12 i think. The pictures are beautiful and not oversaturated or dramatically out of focus, although unfortunately not every recipe gets a photo, (common in recipe books i know, but i personally always want 1 photo per recipe).

With regards to the writing, Tove Nilsson provides detailed and clear instructions, some information/background but doesn't waffle about sentimentality for paragraphs and provides tips and serving suggestions such as snack recipes.
The drink recipes are divided into syrups to add to carbonated water, brewing soda itself, and other mixed and fermented drinks e.g. ice tea, kombucha, floats/spiders etc. The recipe volumes are large, but you can shrink them down with some math, and they provide a great alternative to alcoholic drinks or a starting point to modify your favourite soft drinks. The only issue i have with some of the recipes is that I as an Australian have no idea where to get fresh lingonberries, seabuckthorn etc., in sufficient quantities, part of the reason why I haven't tried more recipes. The other is I'm too chicken to try fermenting soda just yet.
Depending on how adventurous in the kitchen you are, there's really no downside to this book, and it's a great entry point into mixing your own drinks as it's clearly written and informative, and explains the processes used such that you can branch out and try new flavours or tweak to better suit your tastes.
