Looking at Plants is a companion series to the hugely successful Looking at Minibeasts. It explains the role of plants in the environment, and how people use and abuse plants for different purposes, such as food and fuel. It also examines the parts of plants - roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds - and the role they play. This series is a great introduction to the fascinating world of plants, including their place on the food chain and their life cycle. Titles look at how plants survive, grow and reproduce in their own environment, and how people use and abuse plants in their everyday lives. Like minibeasts, the best way to look at plants is close up, in their natural environment and, with striking colour photographs and illustrations, that's exactly what this series gives you.
