The Healthy Life by Jess Sepel is a lavish cookbook full of inspiration for healthy cooking. Jess is a successful nutritionist and health blogger that has put this cookbook together to help people on their relationship path with food. It is filled with delicious recipes to inspire, words and tools of wisdom for managing eating on a daily basis. This is certainly not a diet book or a restrictive method of eating. It's about eating clean and how you can do it easily and healthily. It's our new favourite.

I'm a big fan of Jessica Sepel and have been regularly following her blog for quite some time. Jessica is qualified health nutritionist and believes in a holistic approach to health with an emphasis on nourishing our bodies with whole, real foods and advocating healthy lifestyle choices such as reducing stress, lots of rest, exercising smarter (not harder) and self-love/respect.

In the first part of the book, Jessica shares her own story which is followed by her comprehensive guidelines for living a healthy life including stress reduction, gut health, detoxing the liver, balancing hormones and blood sugar, emotional eating, mindfulness, sleep and weight loss. The second part covers her philosophy on food and includes simple guidelines and advice on nutrition, healthy tips and flexible meal plans. The final part contains a wide variety of healthy, easy recipes which are quick and simple to make!
