My copy of last year's Donna Hay cookbook The New Classics is looking slightly 'loved' after becoming a staple for those simple, after-work dinners when your standard tacos, spag bol and stir fry begin to drive you crazy. I've only had New Easy at home for a week and it's looking like it will meet the same fate. This one is full of really accessible and sensible recipes (i.e. they use ingredients that you will actually HAVE in your pantry) that are super delicious.

Try the Spicy Chicken Laksa and the Smoky Pulled Pork is really easy in a slow cooker. Next on my list is the dumpling soup.

As always this is going to make a lot of Christmas wish lists this year and is a very hand buy for anyone that likes to spend time in the kitchen.
