Synopsis
Following 2008's The Essential and 2009's At His Very Best budget releases, Tonight's the Night: The Very Best of John Barrowman is the first major-label compilation from the actor/singer best known for his lead role as Captain Jack in the Dr. Who spin-off Torchwood. The collection includes six tracks from 2007's Another Side, including covers of Carly Simon's "You're So Vain," Billy Joel's "She's Always a Woman," and Sting's "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," three cuts from 2008's Music Music Music, including the Gary Barlow-penned original "What About Us?," and five tracks from 2010's self-titled effort, including a duet with I'd Do Anything winner Jodie Prenger on "So Close." Two new tracks also appear, a ballad penned by A1's Mark Read ("I Owe It All to You") and a rendition of Rod Stewart's "Tonight's the Night," also the same name of his Saturday night prime-time BBC hit show. ~ Jon O'Brien
