Synopsis

In "Sky Falling: How to Overcome a Rogue Day," the author compares the inherent trials of life to what he calls "rogue days." A rogue day is an adverse event of life that arises suddenly, ferociously, and without mercy against our fragile lives. A rogue day has the power to destroy. Point in case: On April 16, 2007, Cho Seung-Hui set out on his grim task of accomplishing the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history. Cho had crossed the line from whence there is no return when he entered the campus of Virginia Tech University. There would be no warning. People would die. And people did die, thirty-two students who could never have imagined how the last days of their life would be played out. How do loved ones, left in the back-wash of a rogue event, deal with such loss? The author proposes using the unappreciated key of submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ to unlock four neccessary spiritual powers: joy, understanding, surrender, and a heart that wants to believe.
