I hope to encourage Cruising Sailors to give thought as to how they can avoid and if unable, can prevail over a variety of unwanted and/or nefarious interference. I speak from my military background and over forty years of yachting experience on both sides of the Atlantic, including several Blue Water passages and from eighteen years ‘living aboard’ The aim is to kindle interest in this subject by explaining the reason why one needs to know about Piracy and other forms of unwanted interference.
