It is not necessary to create an account to view any of the pages on the site or to put items into the shopping cart. However you will need to have a valid account for an order to be completed and your items to be purchased and delivered.

If you only know the subject, or can only remember part of the title or author, just enter what you know into the search box and let our search engine do the rest.

To browse our online store, simply use the navigation menu at the top of the page and then refine your search be using the sub categories offered. Our popular selections and recommendations are located to the left of every page for your convenience.

Your Account

Creating an Account +

The first time you want to place an order you will need to create your customer account using the ‘create account’ button. When you register you will be required to enter your name, a valid email address and a password.

Using Your Account +

After your first visit all you will need to do to access your account is login as an existing customer using your email and password. We will retrieve the rest of your information from our database including your order history and contact information.

When you login to your account you will be able to view your recorded personal information and details of past and current orders.

Updating Your Information +

If you wish to change your contact details including name, your email address or your password, you will be able to update these details in the profile section of your account.

Please ensure when you place an order that the delivery address is accurate and complete (including any business name if shipping to a work address) as we are unable to change any details once the order has been placed.

You can also subscribe or unsubscribe to our newsletter in your profile.

Forgotten Password +

Click Sign in then Forgotten password? . You will be prompted to enter your email address which you used when you first registered with us. If you cannot remember which email address you used please contact us for further assistance.

Please note that if you have not used our website since 2 April 2009 you will need to register as a new customer.

Be assured that we keep all personal information submitted to us in the strictest confidence. The information is stored on a secured server and is only used to process orders from Angus & Robertson Online. This information will not be released to anyone other than those necessary to fulfill your order. We do not rent or sell your name, address, credit card information or personal information to any third party without your permission. However, we must cooperate fully should a situation arise where we are required by law or legal process to provide information about a customer. You can access our privacy policy here.

Ordering Through Angus & Robertson Online

The Order Process +

1. Start Shopping! Browse the site and add your selections to your shopping basket by clicking the ‘Buy’ button.

2. Go to the checkout. When you have finished shopping, click on the ‘checkout’ button.

3. Sign up or sign in. If you are a new customer, you will need to fill in your details to create an account. If you already have an account, sign in with your email and password. After you have accessed your account, follow the prompts to complete your transaction.

Please ensure the delivery address entered is complete and accurate (including any business name if shipping to a work address) as this information is unable to be changed after placing your order.

Availability, Dispatch and Delivery +

Due to spam filters, you may not have received your confirmation and dispatch emails, you can view these when you log into your account.

Angus & Robertson Online sources titles from distributors in Australia and overseas.

Please note that every title on our website includes its availability information as part of its product details.

Dispatch and Delivery
Delivery time frames for items will vary depending on the source. The expected dispatch and delivery time frame will be displayed in the product information for each title. More information about delivery is available Delivery information page.

We do not ship internationally at present.

Cancelling an Order +

Most items that are marked as in stock are unable to be cancelled once your order is placed. If you would like to request cancellation of your order, please notify us by email using the contact us form and we will advise whether cancellation is possible. Please ensure you include your order number which you can find by looking in your profile page.

Please note: if you have received notification of dispatch of your order this order has been shipped to you and cancellation is not possible so please do not request cancellation in this instance.

Pricing +

We will charge you the retail price shown on Angus & Robertson Online at the time of your order, plus shipping charges which will also be displayed in the shopping basket at time of purchase.

Where a title is dispatched from Australia its price is inclusive of Australian GST (Goods and Services Tax.) Where a title is dispatched from outside Australia its price is exclusive of GST.

Payment Options and Credit Card Details +

Angus & Robertson Online accepts payment using PayPal and credit card payments using Amex, Mastercard or Visa.

Cash, EFTPOS and Angus and Robertson giftcards are not accepted online.

Please note that all orders require full payment up front. This includes orders for in-stock titles as well as pre-order and back-order titles.

If you are paying by PayPal, you must have a PayPal account.

If you are paying with a credit card you must enter credit card information the first time you make a purchase. At this point you may choose to save your card details for next time you use your account. All online credit card transactions are secured with SSL encryption and are handled by DPS which is certified by all Australian banks. No credit card details are stored on any of our systems or in any paper format. For more information visit www.dps.co.nz.

We will contact you by email if there is a problem processing payment with any part of your order.

Using a Voucher +

The checkout's voucher box (highlighted in red).

 

Redeeming a Voucher:

If you are using an online voucher offer, collect the voucher code and then enter this in the checkout's voucher box when you have finished shopping.

Please note;

• Each voucher offer will carry its own terms and conditions.

• Once a voucher number has been entered and the apply button pressed, the voucher has been validated and will be applied to your purchase. You may remove a voucher code with the remove button.

• Voucher offers are only redeemable through Angus & Robertson's online store.

• You must create or log into an account to complete the transaction process with your delivery and contact details. You will also be required to meet the balance of purchases using either a PayPal account or by entering credit card details.

• Online vouchers cannot be used for online purchases made in conjunction with a gift card or any other promotional offer.

Angus and Robertson Online does not offer a gift wrapping service but it is still possible to purchase items as gifts by nominating a different recipient and address at the time of purchase.
