Urllink.acsm? What is This File I Downloaded?

The urllink.acsm file is a token that is used to trigger the ePub or PDF download through Adobe Digital Editions or the Sony software, Reader.

The acsm file extension stands for 'Adobe Content Server Message', and it tells the Adobe server to send a copy of the eBook to your computer.


Please note that you cannot open the acsm file using Adobe Reader.  You must use Adobe Digital Editions, the free eBook management software.


Please ensure that your copy of Adobe Digital editions is authorised using an Adobe ID before downloading your eBooks.  Our online guide to begin using Adobe Digital Editions can be found here and our guide for Sony users can be found below.
