Why Do I Need Adobe Digital Editions to Open a PDF eBook?

PDF eBooks are encrypted to protect the intellectual property of the publishers through unauthorized copying of the file.  This new format of PDF requires software that is more advanced than the Adobe Acrobat Reader that we have used in the past.<

The PDF file was created by Adobe, who in turn distributed free the Acrobat PDF reader software common on many computers.  The new generation of encrypted PDF files required a new program, which Adobe has created and supplied free: Adobe Digital Editions.  We have compiled an online gudie to assist with the process of downlaoding your Angus & Robnertson eBooks to Adobe Digital Editions so get started by following the guide here.
