Like any electronic device the Kobo eReader can occasionally fall over and require some assistance. Let's see if we can resolve it.

You may be more comfortable with PDF files however ePub allows more flexibility on a greater number of eReading devices.

The urllink.acsm file is a token that is used to trigger the ePub or PDF download through Adobe Digital Editions or the Sony software, Reader.

If you are using the Angus & Robertson app and cannot downlaod your eBooks when you click upon the 'UPDATE LIBRARY', then you may need to explore the settings to allow the app to connect to the online database where the eBooks are stored.

ePub formatted eBooks from Angus & Robertson will work with Adobe-DRM supported eReading devices.

It may look confusing, but it's really quite simple and you can cccess your eBooks from multiple devices.
Do not worry, this can be resolved quite easily. Follow the process below.
1) The first step is to ensure that your Kobo is turned on and that Adobe Digital Editions is running when you connect the Kobo to your computer. A window should pop up within Adobe Digital Editions asking if you wish to authorize the device – select ‘YES’.
2) Delete the following folders from your Kobo as shown in the image below:

3) Disconnect the Kobo from your computer and after it has processed the new data, hold down the ‘ON/ OFF’ button for five seconds.
4) Check the Kobo is showing the screen “~POWERED OFF~ PRESS POWER TO START”.
5) Restart the Kobo – it will now recreate the folder ‘.adobe-digital-editions’.
6) Plug the Kobo back in to your computer and open Adobe Digital Editions
7) Adobe Digital Editions should now display the popup box asking you to ‘authorise a new device’ – please select ‘YES’.
