This is a most useful approach to a collection of documents reflecting nearly a half-century of international relations & disputes which states have had to settle mainly through the Security Council. Six weeks after the publication of the first edition, Iraq invaded Kuwait: this was a major international event leading to the adoption by the Security Council of a series of resolutions, & followed over the years by other important developments in different parts of the world (the situation in Angola & Somalia, the efforts towards peace in Central America, the situation in Cambodia, the dissolution of Yugoslavia & disintegration of the USSR).
