Synopsis

Jamie Does... is a brand new series which sees Jamie Oliver turn food tourist. In each show he explores the cuisine of a foreign city or region just a short flight from the UK. The seriessees Jamie at his most inspired and inspiring as he meets local families, cooks and farmers, tastes delicious indigenous dishes and is inspired to cooks his own. In Marrakesh he discovers there a strict etiquette to eating with your hands from a tagine and learns, to his cost: take food from your neighbours side of the dish and you're in trouble.

Kicking off in Marrakesh, Jamie explores the alleyways of the old Medina and the wildly exotic Djemaa el Fna square as he dodges snake charmers and tooth sellers to try out the street food of the city.

In Athens he tries his hand at spear fishing and meets bee keepers with plenty of stories to tell.

Next stop is Andaluca where Jamie joins trainee bullfighters practicing in Spains oldest bull ring and cooks paella for the whole village.

In the Midi-Pyrenees he goes truffle-hunting with a pig and boar hunting with dogs.

Venice sees Jamie going off the tourist track to meet aristocrats in a palazzo and the lady prisoners who are growing vegetables behind bars in Giudecca.

Finally its off to Stockholm where Jamie tries to avoid skinny dipping at a traditional crayfish party.
