Synopsis

Founded in 1967, the Montreux Jazz Festival has established itself as one of the most prestigious annual music events in the world. The extraordinary list of artist who have played there is drawn from across the musical spectrum and from around the world. Now, with the consent of the festival and the artists, Eagle Vision is making these concerts available for the first time.

Ray Charles was one of the true pioneers of soil music. He played the Montreux Jazz Festival on a number if occasions but probably his finest concert there was this one from 1997. Supported by his orchestra, under the direction of AI Jackson, and of course the wonderful Raelettes, he delivers magical performances of many of his popular tracks including Shadows Of My Mind, Busted, Georgia On My Mind, Angelina, and I can't Stop Loving You. As ever, Ray Charles is the definition of soul
