Before becoming a bestselling author, Ben Aaronovitch was a screenwriter for Doctor Who and a bookseller at Waterstones. He now writes full time, and every book in his Rivers of London series has been a Sunday Times Top Ten bestseller. He is published in 14 languages and has sold more than 2 million copies around the world. Aaronovitch is also a trustee on the board of Cityread London and is a long-time supporter of Nigeria's premiere arts and cultural festival, The Ake Festival. He still lives in London, the city he likes to refer to as 'the capital of the world'.

Andrew Cartmel is a novelist and screenwriter. His work for television includes Midsomer Murders and Torchwood, and a legendary stint as Script Editor on Doctor Who. He has also written plays for the London Fringe, toured as a stand-up comedian, and is currently co-writing with Ben Aaronovitch a series of comics based on the bestselling Rivers of London books. He lives in London.

Paul Cornell has written some of Doctor Who's best-loved episodes for the BBC, as well as the novel Doctor Who- Nemesis of the Daleks with Dan Abnett.

He has also written on a number of comic book series for Marvel and DC, including X-men and Batman and Robin.

He has been Hugo Award-nominated for his work in TV, comics and prose, and won the BSFA award for his short fiction.
