I bought this book for my nature loving 9 year old daughter, not knowing anything about it at all. I was so pleasantly surprised when I received it! What a gorgeous discovery this book is! Both my daughter and I have been so captivated reading through the pages that have opened our eyes to the world of herbs, their properties, uses, facts, make at home remedies, stories, songs, and more. The book is really down to earth, with interesting pockets of information rather than long pages of text. This makes it really fun, light and enjoyable to read. The author is highly knowledgeable and shares this beautifully in an easy to read style. The pages within are in black and white print only, with both text and drawn pictures. It is 264 pages long and is also a soft cover book. My daughter and I have been so inspired. We are planning our new herb garden as I write this! I highly recommend this unique book!
