Peaches is a blood slave in the Unseelie's Queens court & never imagines they is a way out. Peaches knows all to well one hell is better than another.
Haze believes the Queen Maebh has broken the laws & breaks into her palace to investigate. There he runs into Peaches & instantly is drawn to her & knows he must get her out of the Queens court, not just cause of what she is being a well-blessed human, but who she may also be to him. Getting in was easy but getting out the palace is anything but. Getting out of the court forces both Haze & Peaches to face their inner demons that hold them back & learn to trust another & for Peaches to trust & believe also in her self.
Another beautiful, heartbreaking, funny, steamy story in the Fae Guardians series. From the beginning was hooked & binged this in 2 sittings. Haze is a lumberjack gentleman of a Guardian you can't help but love & Peaches is a timid well-blessed human wanting to be strong but afraid to take that step until she is urged on by Haze.
Told at the same time as the events in The Secrets in Shadow & Blood. We get to see inside Queen Maebhs court & what lives underneath it. Loved the new creatures that were introduced & the lead up to Shade's book. This is an interesting world with some damn hot men & strong females who band together with such instant support.
