Calista Blake, a young widow, lives with her mother at their decaying Oregon beach hotel.

In a last, desperate effort to save their home before losing it to debt, they place an ad for a handyman to fix up the place before the summer tourist season.

The young man who answers the ad is too good to be true; he can do all the work they need, he doesn't seem to need the money, he has connections that the two women never thought possible, he is handsome and charming, and he seems to have become attached to Calista.




Will he stay around after the work is done, or will he leave her alone, as she has been left alone before?

Is he serious about why he is there, or is there another reason he has come to their hotel?
