It started off a bit confusing, the author uses a lot of unique language and names that new readers would be unfamiliar with but the further you progress, the more you understand. I'm only up to the 4th book of the series after having purchased it in 2018 but it has definitely been worth the purchase. This set also comes with a map which is really cool :)
