Alfie has always wished he was more like his adventurous Uncle Oswald, but six months out from finishing his law degree, things haven't turned out the way he had imagined. With his whole future mapped out, Alfie's comfortable, safe life is derailed when Oswald arranges a mail-order bride to end Alfie's days of bachelorhood. Unwilling to spend the rest of his life with a total stranger, Alfie and his newfound fiance embark on an international adventure to hunt down the elusive Oswald and set things straight. Along the way, they come face to face with thieves in India, accidentally become accessories to murder in Russia with the mob, and find themselves stranded in South Korea when they run out of money. With the help of Alfie's somewhat disheveled friend, Hugh, Alfie and Nika discover there might be more to living than just surviving.
