Ziggy Truegood lives in the town of Dellhollow and, unlike everybody else who lives there, she is curious about what might exist outside of her town's invisible walls. When Raafi and his grandfather move to town, their exotic appearance and customs makes the townspeople suspicious. But Ziggy is drawn to the newcomers when she is hunted by a frightening beast. Are they there to help or hurt her? And are they connected to Ziggy's premonition that she will drown on her twelfth birthday? Thought-provoking and engaging, Hushing Wood is really lovely blend of action, fable and magic realism. By the award-winning author of The Wishbird.
