Once Grace starts to ride Beauty, she encounters even more challenges. However, this feisty little girl never gives up and demonstrates to herself and others that hard work pays off. Grace deals with the pressure of being a preteen girl by remembering what truly matters. She spends her time at the barn where she feels God's love and peace envelop her. For a short time, everything seems to be perfect. However, we all know that perfection is not often reality.
As Grace grows up and spends more time riding, she is torn between the desire to have her own horse and the comfort and ease of riding Beauty. She puzzles over this issue then turns to God to help her know what to do next. She feels like God gives her the answer, yet she is heartbroken when things don't turn out as she expected. As the story continues, we see Grace begin to mature and learn the meaning of responsibility. We see her learn to trust God when it seems like nothing makes sense. Even though problems arise, God shows this young girl the meaning of showing true -Beauty and Grace.-
