Grant Morrison was born in Glasgow in 1960. As a comics writer, he is renowned for his bold reinventions of existing superheroes and his own authored titles.

He has had successful runs on Batman, Animal Man, Doom Patrol, JLA, The Invisibles, New X-Men, Fantastic Four and All Star Superman. His Batman: Arkham Asylum is the best-selling original graphic novel ever published.

A documentary on his life and work, Grant Morrison: Talking with Gods, was released in November 2010.

Mark Millar is the award-winning writer/ creator of Wanted and Kick-Ass and worked as an executive producer on their subsequent movie adaptations. He is also the Creative Consultant for 20th Century Fox in Los Angeles, overseeing their upcoming Marvel movies. His ten years at Marvel produced Civil War, the biggest-selling series of the decade, and The Ultimates, credited by screen-writer Zak Penn as his inspiration for The Avengers movie. All of these creations are in various stages of production as blockbuster movies, Matthew Vaughn directing The Secret Service, Joe Carnahan directing Nemesis and Jeff Wadlow having just completed Kick-Ass 2.

In his native UK, he is editor and co-publisher of CLINT Magazine, CEO of television company Millarworld Productions and acts as an advisor on film to the Scottish government. In 2012, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Glasgow Caledonia University for his services to film and literature.

Warren Ellis is a comics and graphic novel writer best known for the graphic novel series Transmetropolitan, The Authority and Planetary.

With over 35 graphic novels in print, Ellis has received numerous accolades, including winner of the International Horror Guild award for graphic narrative and being named one of Entertainment Weekly's 100 Most Creative People.

Rolling Stone described his work as "more influenced by Jesus and Mary Chain than by the Justice League, while his characters fight for left-wing agendas over God and country, and kick puppies in the street."

Award-winning author Alan Moore is widely considered the best writer of graphic novels in the medium's history. His body of work includes the groundbreaking graphic novels Watchmen, V for Vendetta, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Lost Girls, as well as the novels Voice of the Fire and Jerusalem and the poem The Mirror of Love. Among his many awards are the Hugo Award, the Locus Award, the Bram Stoker Award, the Eisner Award, and the International Horror Guild Award. He was born and still lives in Northampton, England.

Kurt Busiek was born in Boston, MA. He began writing comics professionally in 1982, selling stories to both DC and Marvel Comics in the same month, both of which appeared the same day.

Since then, he's written series and characters ranging from Mickey Mouse to Vampirella, including Aquaman, Spider-Man, Conan, Iron Man, the Avengers and more.

He is best known for the Marvels series and for his co-creation ASTRO CITY, both of which have garnered numerous industry awards. He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Ann, and his two daughters.
