The censuses for the first fifty years of Cabell County, Virginia are thoroughly compiled in this publication, making it a highly valuable tool for anyone doing genealogical research on this area of West Virginia. Beginning with the 1850 census, the study works its way backward through the 1840 census, the 1830 and 1820 alphabetical censuses, and finally the 1815 and 1810 tax lists.
