Tony Bradman

Tony Bradman has worked in children's books for over 30 years as a writer, a reviewer, and an editor of anthologies.

His books include the Dilly the Dinosaur picture-book series, which sold 2 million copies worldwide.Tony is lead author for Project X, OUP's reading scheme for boys up to Year 6.

He has been a judge for the Smarties Book Prize, Booktrust Teen Awards and is chair of the Siobhan Dowd Trust. Anglo-Saxon Boy is his second novel for Walker. He lives in Beckenham, Kent.

Jonathan Scott

Jonathan Scott is a music writer and self confessed astronomy geek.

Formerly a contributing editor to Record Collector magazine, he has edited books about Prince, Cher and the San Francisco psych explosion, and written about Nirvana, the Pogues, the Venga Boys, Sir Patrick Moore and Sir Isaac Newton in a variety of magazines.

He received his first telescope aged eight, using it to track Halley's Comet in 1986. Having followed Voyager's planetary fly-bys throughout his childhood, he first got to write about the missions in 2004. If he'd been in charge of the Voyager Golden Record, aliens would assume humanity had three chords.

Chris Oxlade

Chris Oxlade is the best-selling author of more than 150 non-fiction books for schools, libraries and the book trade. Much of his work has involved explaining technical subjects clearly for young readers.

Peter Millett

Peter Millett was born in New Zealand. He was first published aged nine when one of his humorous poems appeared in the national press.

He has since gone on to publish a great many children's books in New Zealand, including picture books and educational books. He has a passion for zany English humour and Spike Milligan is one of his all time heroes. He lives with his family in Auckland.
