About the author:
Roger Wilson-Crane was born in Harpenden but raised in the idyllic Yorkshire Dales, which he hopes makes him an honorary Yorkshireman.
His first foray into the world of writing was as a 14-year-old when he wrote, directed, and performed a play for the school. Unfortunately, life and work interrupted this creativity, and it didn't return until recently, when the desire resurfaced.
A Managing Director of a successful private company in the Automotive sector, Roger made the decision to take a back seat from the business, in 2019, and concentrate on the writing passion that had been niggling away at him for over 20 years.
In addition to being the obligatory bookworm, Roger has always been interested in the creation of film, TV, and theatre. He enjoys studying scripts and listening to different writers with regards their style and development.
A keen amateur actor and singer, Roger had had the privilege of taking lead roles in productions across Yorkshire and beyond, including Jesus Christ Superstar, Guys & Dolls, and The Full Monty. The latter culminating in a NODA nomination for Best Actor. Roger believes all these endeavours kept his creative juices flowing over the years when work was all-consuming.
Roger settled in South Yorkshire 25 years ago and lives with his wife Victoria, who finally inspired him to follow his dreams and become an author. Victoria is also an Amazon Best Selling Author with her book Sixteen.
Their lives are never without a flat coat retriever in tow. The current one Hastings, aged six, is a constant by their side. Roger has a 21-year-old daughter, Holly-Mae, who he is incredibly proud of. She has just completed her degree at Leeds Beckett University, studying Physical Education, focusing on dance and now embarks on the next chapter in her life.
