A great book outlining the start of aviation throught the world. I've not read books on aviation before but the names lept off the pages as I recognised them from my school days in the 1960's. A story that had me yelling at the pages in places as the young daring men risked all in flimsy, hard-to-imagine-could-possibly-fly machines. Smithy was as bold and reckless as is possible, an amazing aviator but a hopelessly disorganised person. The last 36 odd pages nicely tis up the fates that befell the characters in the book, Charles Lindburgh was an eye-opener. I highly recommend this book to all.
