Esto me anigio de suerte, que deje de escribir versos y me dedique a la vil prosa.

Por desgracia, segun opinion de algunos criti cos discretos, con la prosa me sucede exactamente lo mismo. Los mencionados criticos declaran que han dado a leer mis novelas a sus novias respec tivas, y que todas las han devuelto sin leerlas, a pesar de la buena voluntad y de los esfuerzos que por leerlas han hecho.
