Jacqueline Rayner

Jacqueline Rayner is the author of over 40 books and audio plays, including number one bestseller The Stone Rose, the highest-selling Doctor Who novel of all time, and two Doctor Who ‘Quick Reads’ for World Book Day.

She lives in Essex with her husband and twin sons and writes a regular column for Doctor Who Magazine about family life.

Alan Gibbons

Alan Gibbons is a full-time writer and a visiting speaker and lecturer at schools, colleges and literary events nationwide, including the major book festivals: Edinburgh, Northern Children's Book Festival, Swansea, Cheltenham, Sheffield and Salford.

Alan is a key supporter of a high-profile, nationwide campaign to champion libraries and librarianship and to reevaluate government commitment to educational spending. He lives in Liverpool with his wife and four children. Alan is an honorary CILIP member.

Andy Briggs

Andy is a screenwriter, graphic novelist and author - writing on movie projects such as "JUDGE DREDD" and "FREDDY VS JASON" and "FOREVERMAN" for Spiderman creator Stan Lee and legendary producer Robert Evans. He went on to work on Warner Bros. "AQUAMAN" - while at the same time landing an eight-book deal with Oxford University Press for "HERO.COM" and "VILLAIN.NET". His graphic novels include KONG: KING OF SKULL ISLAND, RITUAL and DINOCORPS for Markosia Comics.

He has recently rebooted the classic character TARZAN, with his new books TARZAN: THE GREYSTOKE LEGACY and TARZAN: THE JUNGLE WARRIOR. WARRIOR NUMBER ONE is his first book with Franklin Watts.

Elen Caldecott

Elen Caldecott graduated with an MA in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University and was highly commended in the PFD Prize for Most Promising Writer for Young People.

Before becoming a writer, she was an archaeologist, a nurse, a theatre usher and a museum security guard. Elen's debut novel, How Kirsty Jenkins Stole the Elephant, was shortlisted for the Waterstone's Children's Prize and longlisted for the 2010 Carnegie Medal.
