Ziggy Stardust, Major Tom, the Thin White Duke… few artists have fascinated rock fans quite like David Bowie. Across the decades and characters, Bownie crafted songs that have stood the test of time and taken their place among the most beloved in the rock canon. In this visually rich retrospective, rock journalist Martin Papoff takes a unique approach to the life and art of Bowie, examining the music icon through the lens of 75 key releases and accomplishments. The studio albums are featured, as are a curated selection of his earworm singles, legendary performances, notewothy collaborations, and myriad film and television roles. Every page is illustrated with stunning concert and candid offstage photography, including gig posters, vinyl-record picture sleeves, period ads, and much more. There's even a gatefold Bowie timeline tracing this legendary trajectory. The result is a unique tribute to one of the most admired figures in the history of rock 'n' roll.
